Nemo is a file manager used by default in Linux Mint Cinnamon Edition.

Nemo was forked from Nautilus 3.4 by the Linux mint project in September 2012 due to major changes in Nautilus 3.6. In Nautilus 3.6 the GNOME developers removed a lot of features from Nautilus 3.4, which caused the forking of the project. In nemo missing features from Nautilus 3.6 were reintroduced.
