I have a small SOC Computer with a build in HDD, Touch Screen and a detachable Keyboard.
The system was sold as "with upgrade to Win11" and I was waiting for the upgrade to be released. Last week the system finally offered me the possibility to upgrade to Win11.
I did the upgrade. It was not to my satisfaction since the integrated 4G mobile chip and the micro SD Slot were not working. I quickly tested Win11 on site at my company and it was not to my satisfaction.
I therefore chose to "return to Windows 10". This appeared to have worked fine. The PC was working with Win10 again and I was able to reinstall the 4G LTE chip and the micro SD Card Reader without any Problem.
After the battery ran out, I recharged and I rebooted the machine and it would no longer boot. Instead Windows now goes into a Bluescreen, reboots and then wants me to enter a "Bitlocker key". This key supposedly is in my Windows Account. Since I do not have a windows account, I suppose that Windows used my corporate account, and I recalled that I was quickly checking my corporate teams account via the EDGE Browser on the machine now having the Bitlocker issue when on site at my company.
I have checked all possible Windows Resources, logged into Microsofts "my account" using my corporate account and checked the device list, my personal SOC device is shown there but Bitlocker key is not visible to me as an ordinary user. The pages with the key are all blocked by my company, it says available to administrators and there is no one in my company that can provide me the Bitlocker Key. This process is not supported by the help desk in our multinational company. No chance to get the Bitlocker key.
So, since I do not have and can not gain any access to the Bitlocker Key, I simply want to reinstall Windows 10 from scratch. I do not have any information on this machine that I would need to recover.
Please note that I do not want to decrypt the drive or any data. I simply want to format and reinstall.
So far, I have not found any possibility to do so:
recovery partition says: cannot access main hdd partition repair options of windows: do not work command line: can't access drive c: I can't disassemble the hdd since it is soldered onto the SOC Tablet PC.
Any ideas on how to format and reinstall the system. Right now it is unusable.
