From this question, we know that Windows bypass the host file whenever Microsoft wants. Is there a way for deactivating the bypass / having full real control of the host file?
The objective is the same as in the original question, overwriting msn.com
pd: The original post contains a couple of alternatives as an answer that may work in some cases, in special adding rules to the firewall, but just wanted to know if there is a way of doing this with the host-file.
