I became enamored of Mathematics when in 1952 I took Solid Geometry in High school. I was the only student in the class, and had a teacher to myself, so was able to complete the whole textbook that semester. What a wondrous time.

I was highly disappointed when the teacher, who was of the first veterans out of college following WWII, graded on "the curve" so I wound up with a "C" because it was the class average of "A" and "F" (He said he always gave one person an"A" and one person an "F" so I got the class average, though I worked every problem in the book, and got them all correct.) Bummer!

I moved on to the rest of life.
