It's my belief that ANY project or recipe has 1 or 2 CRITICAL STEPS and should be pointed out. What may seem like "common sense" to me or you might be an unknown to someone else.
I learned this doing tile work. In preparation "YouTubeing"... the guy that pointed out the importance of the initial laying and WHY the perfection needed..
B/C EVERY little imperfection here WILL be 100X's more obvious when grouting step is attempted. Additionally , the grouting itself is CRITICAL. B/C if you don't do it perfectly, you will see it every day untill you (eventually) tear it out and do it again. The correct way.
As the saying goes...if you don't have time to do it right the 1st time. You sure as hell don't have time to do it the 2nd !
