I'm trying to make room for a check valve to my house sanitary behind my main check valve and a Y connection to my storm line. Currently I have two lines side by side that join together near the foundation and they both have double u traps side by side right before they join.
Do I need to have both of these traps to be within code or can i remove one of the trap on the house line and replace with a check valve?
I'm running out of room in my sewer pit and cutting out an additional few feet in the thick concrete is going to be difficult with the cramped space.
I can go into a longer explanation on why I need this 2nd check valve behind my main automatic flood gate in the comments if you are interested and haven't guessed by the blueprints.
