I have heard "fianchetto" for four decades now, and I have always pronounced it "fēənˈCHetō", but I have heard many people also pronounce it "fēənˈketō". It is of Italian origin, so I am wondering if there are any Italians out there, especially…

I imagine that it might be pronounced: kye EE suh kah EE suh KAY suh KYE suh. Which is it? Or perhaps there is no established way and one shouldn't care too much.

I know this is short for evaluation, as given by an engine, but I don't know how to pronounce it. My guess is simply like the first two syllables of evaluation but I would like to be reassured.
