So I've been struggling with this for quite a while now.
Here are specs for my computer.
Integrated speaker/headphone jack do not show up in audio settings, only Dummy Output; but oddly enough when I plug in a monitor with an audio jack, it works, so do bluetooth headsets.
I did managed to get HDMI/DisplayPort at one point, which was did show in the Sound settings that there is audio playing, but no output to speaker/headphones.
Also tried rebuilding pulseaudio config. ~/.config/pulse/
No timidity, no speech detector, reloaded alsa, sof-firmware installed,
options snd-hda-intel model=generic
options snd-hda-intel dmic_detect=0
added to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf.
pulseaudio --kill; sleep 2s; sudo alsa force-reload ; pulseaudio --start didn't work.
Any help would be appreciated!!
