i run "sudo apt-get install -y mssql-server" I get:

    Please, [edit] your question to add your Ubuntu version/release and add the output of `cat /etc/apt/sources.list` and add the full `apt install ... ` command that you used. – Raffa Jul 15 '22 at 10:17

    In case the version is 22.04: mssql does not support ubuntu 22.04 and we can not fix that. Microsoft needs to do that. – Rinzwind Jul 15 '22 at 18:28
