I have been trying to download the grovy main repository for wine and I keep on getting a 404 error on http://ppa.launchpad.net/webupd8team/java/ubuntu. I have been told it is not supported anymore but I can't seem to get wine without it.

how can I fix this problem

  • Even before 2019, WebUpd8 team's Java PPA didn't have WINE. – Kulfy Apr 04 '21 at 07:34
  • Just in case you are trying to install Java (as you tried to use a PPA for Java), [this answer](https://askubuntu.com/a/88058/124466) suggests to use OpenJDK instead of Oracle JDK. – Archisman Panigrahi Apr 04 '21 at 08:07
