I'm a musician living in Oregon; retired, since 2012, from middle-school teaching in Los Angeles. I now play at all the local venues on acoustic 6 and 12, on bass, keyboards, and very rarely, drums. I have somewhat of a local rep as a fingerpicker. Primary early influences were Lead Belly, Brownie McGhee, Doc Watson, Rev. Gary Davis, and Mississippi John Hurt. I have 400-plus self-produced music videos on YouTube---I'm not a slick videographer, so they're nothing like commercial video, but generally they are real-time musical performances; I'm not a lip-synch fan of any kind.
