The UploadCheck extension checks if the fields "Description" and "License" are filled when uploading a file.

Installation

  • Copy the code and place the file(s) in a directory called UploadCheck in your extensions/ folder.
  • Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file: 
    require_once "$IP/extensions/UploadCheck/UploadCheck.php";
$wgUploadNavigationUrl = "{$wgScriptPath}/index.php?title=Special:UploadCheck";
$hideWarning = true; // optional
  • Yes Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
