Translate the NumberOfWikis extension if it is available at translatewiki.net

NumberOfWikis extension adds a new magic word, NUMBEROFWIKIS, to show the number of wikis on ShoutWiki. The extension fetches the amount of wikis from the wiki_list database table, excluding all deleted wikis. This value is cached for a day.

This extension is currently very ShoutWiki-specific.

If Extension:CentralAuth is enabled this extension does not need to be enabled as the magic world is already defined by CentralAuth. This is also the case for Extension:SiteMatrix.

Installation

  • Download and place the file(s) in a directory called NumberOfWikis in your extensions/ folder.
  • Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file: 
    wfLoadExtension( 'NumberOfWikis' );
  • Yes Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
