I previously used Windows; my new computer will be on Ubuntu with an M.2 NVME bootable. Also moving most of my files over to two NAS: one QNAP and one TrueNAS. I will access them over 1Gb Ethernet.
I fear the access to my files and directories will be quite slow over Ethernet, at least compared to accessing them directly from the local M.2 NVME. Could this be improved with some form of network access caching?
Is FS-Cache the go-to tool?
Let me know your suggestions.
Thanks
