Does this answer your question? [How to restore original size and unboot my bootable USB pendrive](https://askubuntu.com/questions/496309/how-to-restore-original-size-and-unboot-my-bootable-usb-pendrive) – karel May 21 '21 at 20:50
  • It could be the flash disk is dead... they are a consumable part (with **no** diagnostics, no verification hardware etc) and if you turned the box off during a write - it's possiblly (part anyway) dead & using it may just lead to grief (risk of corrupted data when used, minor issues are harder to spot but can do more damage as lie undetected longer.. etc). – guiverc May 21 '21 at 22:42
  • so you think there is no way to fix that? – mmansouri May 21 '21 at 22:46
  • If you can get another flash drive and create the USB bootable distro, I think that would be time better spent than trying to revive a damaged one. – mondotofu May 21 '21 at 23:17
  • Reset USB flash that was dd'd to make it usable again, reuse https://askubuntu.com/questions/939230/formatting-a-usb-stick-unable-to-operate-usb/939266#939266 & https://help.ubuntu.com/community/mkusb#Re-use_the_pendrive & https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/216152/usb-disk-read-only-cannot-format-turn-off-write-protection – oldfred May 22 '21 at 02:32

By any chance did you buy your USB flash drive from Amazon? The ones I buy from brick and mortar stores seem to last much longer. See if you can get anyone to honor the warranty, I would be very surprised if you can. – C.S.Cameron May 22 '21 at 03:01
  • hi i solved my problem with buy a new sandisk flash usb3. my old usb flash was fake i think and its broke on install because it was a fake Chinese flash. – mmansouri May 27 '21 at 10:28
